About the Choir
The College Choral Society was founded in 1972 by the late Donald Ridell MBE. Although initially designed to promote singing amongst the music students, over the years the group has evolved and grown into a one hundred-voice choral society, which rehearses and performs the major choral repertory. The choir has a diverse membership, incorporating singers from all corners of the local and College community and our singers range in age from 18 to 90. We rehearse on Thursday evenings during term time from 7pm – 9pm (which includes a well-deserved coffee break) in St. Andrew’s Hall on the College’s Lower Constitution Hill site in Poole. New members are welcomed throughout the year.
