Design You Own...Visitor Centre or Olympic Stadium
Working in teams of 5 to 6, students design and build a model of their own design of an Olympic Stadium. They decide on architectural design, plan indoor and outdoor facilities, consider access and environmental issues, cost out their development, etc. The models are constructed as a tubular space–frames and must be large enough to house team members. At the end of the day, every team member participates in a bid presentation to judges from industry and the best teams win a prize.
