Learners who have disabilities and who are able to enrol direct onto mainstream provision will do so with individually-assessed support . For other students with moderate or severe learning difficulties/disabilities (M/SLDD), The College has a number of pathways into discrete provision. This enables each individual learner to progress with their education.
The College's Entry & SLDD provision is well run, with the best possible care for all learners. There is a good staffing ratio with small teaching groups and learner support. The curriculum is very lively and we make the most of the local community facilities.
All appropriate learners have opportunities for work experience, which is supported by our specialist work placement co-ordinators and personal tutors. This support is vital in helping learners prepare for life beyond college. Other real life experience includes the commercial cafe run by students for visitors and staff.
The learners also have the opportunity to help out at The College's High Mead Community Farm.
