The Music and Sound Academy
The Music and Sound Academy is the first of its Kind in the region. The Academy will present any outstanding educational opportunities for anyone wanting to dedicate themselves to training for a musical Career, study at university or in the music industry.
Whether you are a practicing musician, or wish to work on music production The College’s Music and Sound Academy will provide you with a creative environment in which to tune up your talents.
Facilities & Resources
At The College’s Music and Sound Academy, we’ll help you focus on your musical and academic skills and techniques whilst building up your repertoire.
You will have access to industry standard recording studios, fully fitted rehearsal rooms, and performance spaces.
You will also be encouraged to participate in master classes, concerts and gigs, with visits from Industry guest lecturers all directly related to your specialism.
All Musicians will be encouraged to join a band, orchestra, ensemble or choral society.
The courses below are geared towards giving you the skills, confidence and qualifications that will impress your future employers and give you a head start on your musical career.

- Advanced Studies in Music (including AS/A2 Music and Music Technology)
- BTEC 1st Diploma in Music
- BTEC National Diploma in Music
- BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology
- Music Theory (Grades 5 – 8 ABRSM Music Theory)
