Many of you may have started to think about what career choices you want to make and will be starting to prepare for the job market this summer. Some of you may leave it to the last minute.
The College Job Shop would like to encourage all this year's leavers to start preparing sooner rather than later! The market is tough out there and you need to be prepared – your CV should be as good as you can get it. You need to understand the recruitment process and how to take advantage of it, and of course you need to know how to handle yourself in an interview. Acquiring these skills takes time and some practice – you really don't want to leave it until the last minute.
The College has access to a number of resources that can help, all you need do is ask! Your tutor should be able to direct you to staff that are specifically trained to help you make one of the most difficult and most important decisions facing you.
